Concrete facing brick myths

You'll find a lot of misinformation surrounding the concrete brick in the construction industry, so we're here to break through those myths one brick at a time.

Myth 1: Lower Productivity Rates
Marshalls Bricks and Masonry's perforated concrete facing bricks have a laying rate comparable to standard clay brick alternatives. You'll find our concrete bricks are dimensionally accurate and can be easily cut without shattering - make laying bricks even easier.

Myth 2: Restricted Choices
With hundreds of brick variations available, you'll find the colour and finish to suit your needs. From weathered stock rumbled bricks to stock bricks that appear waterstuck in texture and traditional red facing bricks through to contemporary white bricks (any every colour in between).

Myth 3: Environmental Impact
Differing from clay bricks, there are no kilns used in our concrete brick production, and no gas or electicity is consumed in the curing process. This, combined with the exothermic nature of concrete facing bricks, meaning Marshalls bricks can have up to a 49% lower carbon footprint than may other bricks on the market.

Hear about it from a respected brickwork contractor

Kevin Cafferty, Commericial Director for Marshalls Bricks and Masonry, teamed up with Lesterose Scotland to get their thoughts on concrete bricks - take a look at the video below to see what they had to say.
