Concrete Facing Bricks

Marshalls' concrete facing bricks offer exceptional durability, precision, and aesthetic appeal, making them a reliable choice for a range of construction projects. Designed to withstand harsh weather conditions while maintaining their strength and colour, these bricks provide long-term structural integrity with minimal maintenance.

What are the benefits of using concrete-facing bricks?

Firstly, unlike clay bricks, concrete bricks offer increased durability and continue to strengthen as they age.

Another benefit is that they are good sound insulators, making them an excellent choice for residential buildings and properties in built-up areas.

Concrete bricks are also produced to finer tolerances than their clay counterparts, ensuring greater dimensional accuracy. Marshalls’ concrete bricks are certified to the D1 category (+3-5mm in all dimensions), delivering consistency across construction projects.

Unlike clay bricks, which may contain metallic salts like sodium, potassium, and magnesium and are categorised as SO, S1, or S2, our concrete bricks benefit from carefully controlled admixtures that prevent surface staining and salt deposits.

Our concrete-facing bricks are through-coloured, too, which means that any minor chips or damage will not reveal a different shade beneath the surface.

What’s the difference between concrete-facing bricks and concrete breeze blocks?

While both products are made from concrete, there are distinct differences between concrete-facing bricks and concrete breeze blocks

Specifically, concrete-facing bricks are designed for external walls and visible applications, offering a refined finish and a range of colours and textures to enhance aesthetics.

Concrete blocks, on the other hand, are typically larger and used for structural applications, such as internal walls and load-bearing structures. They often have a rougher surface and are designed for strength and functionality rather than appearance.

In contrast, concrete-facing bricks combine both form and function, providing the strength of concrete with a decorative finish suitable for various architectural styles.

Why choose Marshalls' concrete-facing bricks?

As a leading manufacturer of high-quality building materials, Marshalls provides concrete-facing bricks that meet the highest industry standards.

All of our walling, bricks and masonry products, including facing bricks, are precision-engineered and manufactured to fine tolerances to ensure uniformity and ease of installation.

To guarantee their quality, Marshalls’ facing bricks undergo rigorous testing to ensure they can withstand extreme weather conditions and gain strength over time. Our bricks are also resistant to efflorescence – preventing the formation of unsightly white salt deposits.

Our bricks are available in various colours and finishes, including yelloworangebuff and blue-facing bricks, enabling you to meet the aesthetic requirements of any project.

How are Marshalls' concrete facing bricks made?

Marshalls' concrete-facing bricks are produced using a specialised process that ensures consistency and durability.

A semi-dry mix of naturally occurring aggregates, Portland cement, synthetic iron oxide pigments, and various admixtures is compacted under high pressure and vibration. This method produces a dense, durable brick with low water absorption and excellent frost resistance.

By carefully and responsibly sourcing raw materials and maintaining strict quality control measures, we ensure that our concrete-facing bricks offer longevity, visual appeal and sustainability for any construction project.
