Bloomberg’s European headquarters is situated in the heart of the City of London, close to the Bank of England, St. Paul’s Cathedral, and the Church of St Stephen’s Walbrook. The 3.2-acre site comprises two buildings with over 1.1 million square feet of office and retail space.

Design and Construction

The design of the headquarters was led by Foster + Partners, a renowned architectural firm. The buildings feature a distinctive bronze facade that complements the surrounding historic architecture. The use of Stanton Moor Block Stone for the facades adds a timeless elegance to the structure, while Scoutmoor paving enhances the outdoor spaces, providing a durable and aesthetically pleasing surface. 

Impact

Sustainability was a key focus of the project. The headquarters is one of the most sustainable office buildings in the world, achieving a BREEAM Outstanding rating. Since its completion, Bloomberg's European headquarters has set a new standard for office buildings in terms of design, sustainability, and functionality. It has become a prominent feature of the City of London, attracting visitors and setting a benchmark for future developments in the area.
