Project Brief

Scholars Green is a luxury development in Cheadle Hulme, South Manchester, featuring 37 premium detached and semi-detached homes and apartments. Designed for families, this neighbourhood is perfectly situated near shops, restaurants, cafés, and independent businesses. PH Property Holdings, the developer, aimed to minimise the environmental impact of the new homes.

Solution

To achieve this, the drainage and road systems were designed to efficiently dispose of surface water. Tegula Priora in Pennant Grey was used on the access roads and driveways, ensuring that surface water drained straight into the specially prepared sub-base, keeping the paved area clean, safe, and puddle-free. Eurogold installed British-made Saxon paving on the patios and pathways, creating a clean and durable outdoor space for residents to enjoy.

Outcome

The development, once the site of Hulme Hall Grammar School, has become the perfect neighbourhood for families, situated in a popular and thriving community. The use of British-made paving not only ensured high quality and durability but also contributed to sustainability by having a lower carbon footprint compared to imported alternatives.
