Project Brief

The Southport Community Fire & Ambulance Station was the final project in a new generation of PFI-funded fire stations across the North West. This purpose-built joint fire and ambulance station features separate offices and appliance bays for each emergency service department, along with shared areas to enhance collaboration and efficiency.

Solution

The street-level elevations of the station are faced with a mellow shade of bespoke cast stone masonry, laid in elegant courses. This design choice provides a striking contrast to the bright red metal cladding feature and the brickwork of the upper storey, creating a visually appealing and modern appearance.
