Manholes

Marshalls Civils and Drainage provides both traditional and sealed manholes, consisting of precast concrete manhole rings, heavy-duty manhole covers, and drain cover slabs. The range offers various shapes and sizes, including circular concrete chamber sections and rectangular drain covers.

To tackle modern construction challenges, the Sealed Manhole system was introduced, which is available in 1200mm, 1500mm, and 1800mm diameters. It comes with a monolithic precast concrete base, a sealed chamber ring, a rubber joint, and a sealed cover slab, with the required access. The Sealed Manhole complies with BSEN 1917:2002 and BS5911-3 and is accepted for use by all major UK companies.

The traditional tongue and groove range of concrete manhole rings comply with BS EN 1917:2002 and/or BS 5911-3:2010, ranging from 900mm to 3000mm. Although our 3660mm and 4000mm manhole chambers are not covered by the British or European standard, they comply with the relevant provisions of the standards.

All our precast concrete chamber rings are available in BIM (Building Information Modelling) format, which is a requirement for all government construction projects.
