Marshalls is backing the Carbon Trust’s Best Advice campaign which calls on businesses to apply for free, expert Carbon Surveys to help them to cut energy costs by between 20% - 30%. The free on-site surveys are available to businesses spending between £50,000 and £3m a year on energy, businesses spending below that can also benefit from the online Cut Carbon, Cut Costs tool.

In addition, the Carbon Trust is offering five business people the chance to win a ‘money can’t buy’ mentoring session with their local Best Advice business guru on how to survive and thrive in 2010. The business gurus include: Chris Harrop, Group Marketing Director, Marshalls (Yorkshire); Paul Thandi, CEO, NEC Group (Midlands); Ian Cheshire, Group CEO of Kingfisher and chairman of B&Q (London); Paul Stobart, MD Sage UK and Ireland (Tyne & Wear); and Dawn Gibbins MBE, founder & CEO, Barefoot (North West).
