Marshalls Civils and Drainage are sponsoring a charity fundraising day on the 19th March to raise funds for Jamie Mines, which is taking place at Frome Town Football Club.

Just days before Christmas last year, Jamie suffered a horrific accident which happened when he was working at height on scaffolding. Jamie was electrocuted so severely that he had to be rescued by the emergency services and his injuries were so severe he was placed into an induced coma

During intensive care treatment, Jamie had his leg amputated and lost all the toes on the other foot and both hands up to his forearms.

Jamie, from Frome was a dad to five-month old twins when the accident happened and should have been enjoying their first Christmas together alongside his partner, Harley instead of fighting for his life in hospital.

To raise funds to aid his recovery a football match has been organised, which Marshalls Civils and Drainage are sponsoring of which many of his friends are taking part in as Jamie played semi-professional football for local teams, Frome Town, Radstock, Larkhall and Paulton.

Mike Stacey, Managing Director of the Marshalls Civils and Drainage is shown presenting the donation to Stewart Bryant, committee member of the fund raising team, watched by Alan Hampton and Jon Norris
