Opening at the RHS Hampton Flower Show in 1st July, The Urban Pollinator garden will feature several bespoke pieces from Marshalls. The design of Caitlin McLaughlin, owner of Thrift Landscapes, the garden fuses design, function and wildlife-friendly values and focuses on plants that encourage pollinators, specifically bees, to thrive. Amongst the plants and flowers, visitors will find natural stone hexagons, each one with a copper inlay of a bee.
The design shows off what we can achieve with artwork on natural stone; along with the bee tiles we have also created plain Scoutmoor hexagons to donate along with natural stone paving and chippings.
Caitlin said: “The bespoke Bumblebee hexagon tiles are perfect for nesting Bumblebees and will add a really eye catching feature to the garden whilst also helping pollinators thrive. When I designed these tiles and approached Marshalls I didn’t know what was possible but they have produced such beautiful tiles for our show garden, I’m thrilled with them.”
The Urban Pollinator garden is currently being built by Marshalls registered installer Conway Landscapes and it will be found on stand 421, Southside, at Hampton Court from 1 July. Also at the event will be the Edible Eden garden by Chris Smith, which will feature donated paving from our Saxon range.
