We are pleased to have been shortlisted for an Architects Journal Specification Award for our work with landscape architects Fira at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire.

As part of the new £15.7 million development of a remembrance centre at the National Memorial Arboretum in Alrewas, we were approached to supply a bespoke solution within the hard landscaping of ‘Heroes' Square’. Located on the edge of the National Forest, the Arboretum is the UK’s year-round centre of Remembrance, with a maturing woodland landscape that is home to over 330 memorials.

The new building’s façade in combination with a mixed palette of UK and international sandstone on the landscape is already an award winning scheme and a testament to all involved.

We have been shortlisted in the Brick and Stone award category and will find out if we have won at the award’s ceremony on 15 February.
