Marshalls Revisit Future Spaces

In 2016 we launched Future Spaces, our ambitious attempt to predict how commercial, public and domestic spaces might adapt and evolve over the next decade. Twelve themes emerged and, at the end of 2019, we re-visited those themes to compare our predictions with reality so far.

From the Circular Economy to Biophilic Design, Future Spaces has been created using a variety of sources and revisiting the themes has made for fascinating reading. Some areas are more advanced than we’d ever have predicted, whilst others have taken a completely new turn.
