We’re excited to announce a series of senior leadership appointments within our Landscaping business and at Group level. These strategic changes are part of our ongoing commitment to add even greater value to our customers as part of our strategy.
Leadership appointments
Nick Platt, Managing Director for Landscaping
Nick Platt has been appointed Managing Director for Landscaping. Nick joins Marshalls from Baxi, where he was Sales and Marketing Director for the UK and Ireland. With a proven track record of driving growth and transformation, Nick brings extensive experience in creating a culture of mentorship, collaboration, and continuous improvement to build high-performing teams. His previous roles include Business Director for Built-in and Integrated Appliances at Haier Europe.
Michael Roden, Commercial Trading Director
Michael Roden returns to Marshalls as Commercial Trading Director. Michael previously worked at Marshalls between 2016 and 2021 as Regional Trading Manager for the North. His reappointment brings valuable expertise and a deep understanding of our operations and customer base.
Keith Brophy, National Trading Director for domestic projects
Keith Brophy also rejoins Marshalls as National Trading Director for domestic projects. Keith, who originally worked for Marshalls from 2008 to 2022 as National Sales Manager, will be working closely with merchants and installers to further strengthen our customer relationships.
Stacey Temprell, Group Marketing Director
Stacey Temprell has been appointed Group Marketing Director, overseeing the marketing strategies for all Marshalls’ brands across both Landscaping and Building Products. Stacey brings a wealth of experience in the built environment and in the marketing of technical, performance-based construction products, having previously held leadership roles at Gripple and Saint-Gobain, including Marketing Director for British Gypsum and Isover Insulation. Her role will be instrumental in executing the ‘Transform & Grow’ strategy and reinforcing our position as a market leader for the built environment.
Investing in innovation and growth
Over the past year, we’ve made significant investments in product innovation, further solidifying our industry leadership. Highlights include launching EDENKERB, the industry’s first complete commercial rain garden kerb system; and Modal X, a competitive, lower-carbon alternative to granite paving, and the first product we produced on our dual block plant which uses cutting-edge technology to nearly double the output of a traditional single plant.
Building on this momentum, we’re also investing in our design and engineering team to strengthen our technical design and support to our customers.
A vision for the future
Matt Pullen, Chief Executive of Marshalls, said: “I’m delighted to see these talented individuals join Marshalls; it clearly demonstrates our commitment to investing in an industry-leading team that we know is valued by all our customers. Nick, Michael, Keith, and Stacey bring a vast amount of sector and business experience with them and, most importantly, a passion for our customers and helping to grow their businesses, which is at the heart of our new Transform & Grow strategy.”
Nick added: “It’s the perfect time to join Marshalls, with such a clear and determined strategy in place to ensure we are industry-leading, and our products and services are tailored to exactly what our customers need. With the support of Michael and Keith, who both know the business already, I’m keen to see how we can use our experiences collaboratively to ensure Marshalls remains at the forefront of the landscaping market.”
