The prestigious annual Marshalls awards was held on the 1st of March at St George's Park Burton-upon-Trent, at the home of English football. This year over 750 project were entered into our 12 award categories which included three new awards:
Creating Better Spaces®
Best Collaboration with a Designer
Best use of Artificial Grass
We were joined by over 260 guests including our special guest speaker CBE Colin Jackson, former sprint and hurdling athlete and now TV presenter.
The overall winner was Paul Bate of Signature Landscapes Design & Build based in Altrincham, who was not only awarded for “best engineering achievement” (for the family space shown in the picture) but was also given the highly esteemed title of “Contractor of the Year 2018/ 19” for which he won a Toyota Hilux pick up truck.
This competition calls upon contractors to vote for their peers, all projects are featured on our voting website anonymously, ensuring maximum credibility and integrity, which is a true marque of respect for all the winners.
Paul said: "Wow... I’m in absolute shock. Thank you so much to everyone that voted for our project. Totally humbled and honoured to be named Register contractor of the year.”
David Jessop, Operations Manager of the Marshalls Register said: “Our Members achieve some amazing results with our products and the awards are a fantastic opportunity to celebrate this. The winning project showed huge amounts of creativity and innovation and it is clear that a lot of time, energy and expertise went into it. I couldn’t be happier that Paul was chosen by his fellow members as the winner for 2018/19.”
