We have been proactively working to improve human rights in global supply chains since 2005, and this year we’re investing further by recruiting additional specialists.

Elaine Mitchel-Hill, our Business and Human Rights Director, explains more: “This is, without doubt, an exciting time for us to be expanding our work, offering us the opportunity to make a significant impact way beyond Marshalls own business. Watching the news highlights the enormous impact Covid has had on developing countries, including workers in overseas supply chains. Add increased movement of people, political instability and socio-economic inequality, and it’s clear we have much work to do.”

Marshalls is currently recruiting for a Business and Human Rights Manager, with a closing date of 20 February 2022. This person will be the face of the team leading conversations with various partners, associations, and bodies in the UK, such as UNGC, WYATN, ETI, and GLAA. They will also be working with internal stakeholders to commercialise our business and human rights approach and activity.

Elaine adds: “If you’re a specialist in this space; courageous, consistent, persistent and willing to do what it takes, please take a look at the role and consider joining us.”
