And in every step of the process, from manufacturing to delivery to your door, sustainability is a key priority for us.

Speaking of our products, one of our more recent innovations includes locking waste carbon inside our facing bricks at our Grove site in Wales, through a process called carbon sequestration. This allows us to remove 30,000kg of waste carbon from the atmosphere each year. This year we'll also be launching our first cement-free concrete solution, which has been years in the making!

But we know that reducing carbon isn't just about the products we make, and the impact they have, it's about what we do within our business and we're continuing to make great progress in reducing our carbon footprint.

We're also trialling ways to safely remove more plastic from our packaging and we've now got five sites using solar energy.

When it comes to the energy we use, 74% of the electricity we use across our group comes from renewable sources

We’ve invested heavily in on-site self-generation of electricity through solar panels. We intend to continue this rollout of technology across our network so that we become even less reliant on grid energy. We’ve also signed up 25 people from across the business to become energy champions at the sites where they work.
